Hybrid workshop at the TH Brandenburg from 9 to 13 August 2021

After a long period of corona-induced abstinence (the last trip to Kenya took place at the beginning of 2020), there is now hope again for a personal reunion with our Kenyan project partners. Starting next Monday, 12 of them will be able to attend the final workshop of the DAAD-funded project ProUniEdu-WeK in person for a week, provided they still receive their visas in time, as promised by the German embassy in Kenya. The flights have been booked, the health insurance has been taken out with the DAAD, the academic and social programme is in place and at least 9 German project partners from TH Brandenburg, HNEE Eberswalde and HS Magdeburg-Stendal are waiting to finally meet their partners in the flesh.

In the meantime, in addition to email, Skype and Whatsapp, they worked together via Zoom and BBB to prepare this hybrid workshop. Because 6 of the workshop participants will only be there via BigBlueButton (actively) and others will passively participate in the workshop. And since there will certainly be beautiful pictures again, I’m already starting the blog.
I keep my fingers crossed for the timely arrival of the visas, the successful completion of the hygiene measures before and after boarding the plane (also during the flight) and a safe flight. Once all this is done, there is nothing standing in the way of a successful hybrid workshop….
If you are new here, or have already forgotten the past, you will find something on the THB website about our past and planned activities to promote practice-oriented higher education in Kenya: https://www.th-brandenburg.de/nc/hochschule/aktuelles/news-aus-den-bereichen/aktuelles-details/news/3350-workshop-mit-hochschullehrenden-aus-kenia/?S=132&cHash=b2a8ae75232c34125c762ad874ddc849.
May it continue to succeed!
